High Blood Pressure Causes




In most cases (90%), hypertension can not be specified, so is called "essential hypertension" (hypertensive disease). For essential hypertension mechanisms have been proposed various hypotheses, one of the most recognized is "mosaic theory", in predisposing or determining factors as heredity, vascular factors, repeated emotional states, some adrenal disorders, high calorie diet, excessive intake of salt diet.

In 10% of hypertension cases are secondary cases caused by renal, endocrine, congenital abnormalities of the aorta or the loss of elasticity of the aorta, common in the elderly and in various brain disorders.
